International Experience

Image

Working in a global supply chain, I was privileged to physically and virtually support a number of international customers, partners, and stakeholders which included sales offices, warehousing and distribution personnel, and back office support functions like customer service and support desks.  The experience extended into all phases of the supply chain, which included Order Management, Finished Goods Warehousing, Accounts Receivable & Credit, Logistics, and Reverse Logistics.

During my tenure, I was fortunate to be a part of historical events.  For example, in January 1, 2002, the consolidation of European nations joining the European Union and moving to the Euro currency was a concern for the companies 3rd largest revenue market.  Strategies and contingency plans were translated into testable execution plans to insure no disruption to operations while protecting financial positions and maintaining audit compliance. – definitely an adrenalizing experience!

Though the work was exhilarating, it was experiencing different cultures and foreign places that helped me gain appreciation for others that live and think very differently from myself, and was the impetus to migrating toward the user experience and usability.
