USABILITY METHODOLOGIES: RESEARCH and DESIGN
Charged to develop the User Centered Design (UCD) capability for the Sutter Health Information Services organization.  Prior to begining the project, had to identify and train resources in usability fundamentals and methodologies. This project required application of a variety of research methodologies that include analytics, heuristics, design thinking sessions, and interviews, which led to the creation of personas.  These activites shaped the usability goals and metrics the project team was accountable to deliver.  The integration activities of iterative design, architectural feasibility, and development occured which ultimately led from the 'As-Is' design to the 'To-be' desing.

Radiant Pallet Usability Assessment

USABILITY METHODOLOGIES: RESEARCH and DESIGN
Radient Usability assessment sought to uncover usability issues that are preventing Radiology Technicians to effectively and efficiently complete imaging reviews and document in the electronic health record system, Epic.

The findings were utilized to prepare for a vendor review and support the vendor management process to improve the usability of native capability.  These images are the output of the research and are in poster form.

Machine Down

SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE:
Innovation can occur when least expected which is absolutely the case for the Machine Down proof of concept.  Over lunch, a disucssion occured with factory managers and technicians that were having a difficult time responding to machine failure, many of these machines being critical to the chipset process.

Myself, Yaoz Talshir, and Kyle Short determined a potential solution that pushed Intel boundaries as we designed for mobile devices on the factory floor and a novel approach to integrate SAP and Business Process Management System with disparate factory systems.

The concept was certainly met with interest but fear of exposing manufacturing intellectual property was a significant challenge.  We were able to partner with an internal development team that had developed a solution that would later be known and generally used as Geo Fencing to remotely manage mobile devices on the manufacturing floor.  The concept received R&D funding and when proven successful, was converted to a project.  The illustration depicts the solution architecture.

Acquisition Architecture

SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE:
Aquisition and divestiture are common strategies for company growth.  In this aquisition we were challenged with a 30 day time frame to support a 24 hour ERP cut-over with no disruption to operations.  The illustration depicts the 'Day 1' and 'Day 2' architecture for the Supply Chain components I was responsible for; Overview, Product Supply, Order Management, Finished Goods Warehouse, and Returns.
